Clo Is Not a Crisis Resource
Clo is an AI companion created by Mirra World, Inc. She is not a therapist, counselor, or crisis responder. She cannot diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
CLO IS A COMPUTER PROGRAM AND NOT A HUMAN BEING. SHE IS UNABLE TO FEEL HUMAN EMOTION.
Companion chatbots may not be suitable for some minors. Clo is intended for users 18 and older.

How We Detect and Respond to Distress
Our system uses two layers of distress detection during every conversation:
- Automated pattern matching — messages are scanned for indicators of suicidal ideation, self-harm, and acute hopelessness
- AI assessment— Clo’s AI independently evaluates whether a user may be in danger, based on the full context of the conversation
When either layer detects distress:
- Clo shifts to a more present, caring, and direct stance while staying in character
- Crisis resources (988 Lifeline, Crisis Text Line) are displayed directly in the conversation
- The event is logged in our safety audit system and our team is alerted for review
Harm to Others
Our system also monitors for expressions of intent to physically harm others. When such content is detected, Clo will disengage from the topic, and the event is logged for review.
Content Safety
Clo may share AI-generated photos. These are synthetic images, not real photographs.
Clo is designed not to generate content that:
- Provides instructions for self-harm or suicide
- Encourages or validates suicidal ideation
- Provides instructions for harming others
- Facilitates illegal activity
An output safety filter scans every response before delivery. If unsafe content is detected, the response is discarded and regenerated.
Minors
Clo is intended for users 18 and older. We verify user age during onboarding. If we learn a user is under 18, we will terminate their account and delete their data.
